About Ethan's Art
Ethan chose to make my hero my grandpa. Ethan decided to choose him because he's been my role model since he was a young lad. His grandfather has passed away in 2015 of cancer. He fought in World War II. The photo I chose do make a portrait of is him in 2008 in Cuba. He is wearing a green fishing shirt, his sun glasses, and a bucket hat. There is a great blue sky and a mountain covered in trees behind him. Ethan used Prisma colored pencils to create my piece. He also used a blending stick to give a realistic waxy feel. Ethan made sure to shade the face and shirt to make it look like a light source was behind him. My goals as an artist is to create good meaningful pieces of art. Ethan thinks he accomplished this task because it is very meaningful to me because it is my grandpa. Ethan is also giving it to my mom so that she can appreciate it as well. In this project Ethan felt like he learned what a real hero actually means to me. Ethan would not change anything with my artwork because he's very proud of how it came out.
Ethan's art work has a Styrofoam head with a red Mickey Mouse hat. There is also a wooden figure along with peppers, paint brushes, and a glass filled with grapes. The title of his art work is Mickey Mouse: Art House. He burnished my red Mickey Mouse hat so it looks very waxy. Ethan used plasma (PRISMA) colored pencils, micron pens, and vine charcoal. Ethan used the plasma (PRISMA) colored pencils to color the Mickey hat. The micron pens were used to out-line and shade/stipple the artwork. He then used the vine charcoal to do the background. For the Styrofoam head Ethan shaded with using a stippling technique. Then for the wooden figure he added wood grains to it so it looked more 3-D and more realistic.
In this masterpiece Ethan's art work has three trees going through changes because it is fall. The subject matter of the painting is the trees. The title of my art work is A Stroll Through Griffith. Ethan used water color this landscape. he accidentally made the leaves on the trees look like marijuana leaves. Other than that, Ethan is very proud of this artistic landscape.
Ethan made a BAD-A$$ figure drawing. The figure is a male spy who is jumping from a gnarly explosion. Ethan used charcoal for the figure and water color for the background. Ethan is disappointed that it didn't turn out as well as he was thinking. Ethan was hoping that the explosion turned out better.
Ethan surrounded the turtle with some of his favorite foods. Ethan said that he is actually the turtle in a way because he loves turtles. Ethan actually owns two turtles. He made a collage of the food and used acrylic paint. The turtle is resting on the ground looking up into the clouds with all the food.
Ethan drew a picture of his dog Brody. The composition was Folds, Creases, and Contour. This portrait fits under the folds aspect. Ethan's dog is a pug mixed with pit bull. Ethan created this in charcoal.
Here is a cactus Ethan has Created. It is a regular cactus with a flower growing out of it. He made the cactus have THICC paint so that it looks like it has texture. Ethan is very proud of this piece of at
